Little table make over…..

I have this little table that I believe my dad made my mom just after they were married in late 1959. My mom had given it to me when I got married so we could put our TV on it. It's been around forever I have never had the heart to give it away.

As you all may know we have been remodeling our house so that calls for new and fun things to decorate; I have been painting a lot of stuff with red so the other day my girls said I needed more color so they helped me pick out a green…I so love it, I painted the table and then I antiqued it.……

I think it will be staying around a while longer. I loved how it turned out ……;o)

Katie’s Birthday on Saturday the 12th

WOW!!!! I can’t believe it was 30 years ago I gave birth to my oldest daughter Katie. She is the oldest of our 4 girls. She was such a beautiful baby with a ton of really dark hair.

When she was little she loved spending time with her family and to this day she is the one that keeps our family together. She plans vacations, camping, and girl's weekends. If it wasn't for her we would never get together!

All of her sisters know that they can always count on her and call her anytime to chat. She is not only my daughter she is one of my best friends. I think it’s because I had you at such a young age that we grew up together. I so love it when we get together and the first thing we do is plan on getting everyone together and what is going to be on the menu. :)

Katie’s been married to Shane for the last 10 years, she has helped him make a wonderful home in Vegas with their cute little boy Braydon. She is so amazing. Jim and I are so proud of her. She is such a wonderful wife and mom. They are wonderful parents, and have been patiently waiting to add to their family.

We just wanted to let her know that she is such a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, and mother. We love you! :)

New craft room cabinets.......;o)

When we took out all of the old kitchen cabinets I just didn’t want to toss them to the road. So I came up with this. I have an office/craft room that had no cabinets to store things so I thought this would be great. They was a very dark brown so last summer while my daughter was visiting she helped me paint them white. I had my hubby hang them and as you can see I had him hang one of the sets without the doors I love the way I can see all my recipe books. Then on all the other ones I wanted to make them cute so this is what I did. I had taken all the middles out of them so I could put corkboard, ribbon and buttons on them, so I could hang pictures of my favorite things and of family on them. I know I should have waited to post them until they were all finished but I was so excited how they turned out I wanted to share them. I ran out of the corkboard so this next week it’s off to the craft store for more so I can get this finished and off my list of to do things……
