It's funny how Christmas tree's change

This is the first tree Jim and I had when we got married and it was pretty normal for that time. There was really no theme I made everything that was on it.

Okay this is the tree we all say: WHAT WAS I THINKING??? .......LOL This was a real tree that we all went and picked out and Jim chopped it down. The kids call this our bloody tree with all the red. I think we only had this for one Christmas.

This is the new tree we had for our new house, it was a little bare but it was nice. We had it for about 8 years and we would add to it each year. It wasn't too bad! :)

And last but not least, this tree is the one we've had since we've been living here in Heber and I have to say this is the one I love the most it's about 11 feet tall and everything matches. The theme is country and snowmen. I would like to add some new things to it so Ive been keeping an eye out for some cute things that are inexpensive. Last weekend Lindsey & Brandon and some of thier friends got together to watch the BYU game, the girls weren't into the game so the ladies went to check out Tai Pan Trading in Salt Lake and can I just say oh my gosh I LOVE this place they had the cutest things ( a ton of Christmas stuff) and it was really inespensive.

Anyways, back to the tree thing I think it's funny how trees change. It's fun to see the pictures of past Chritsmas' and the way the styles and times have changed. I will always wonder what I was thinking when I look at the "bloody Christmas tree!"

I have a new toy......

I've been trying to go through all my pictures and get them organized and then I want to put them all on a CD. In order to do this I would need a scanner so I've been begging Jim for one and he's so good to me he went and got me one and set it all up and ready to go. ( but if you know Jim then you would know this was not done without a few not so good words.....lol) So yes I have been having so much fun with it and looking at all the old pictures of the girls and of all the Holiday fun we had with my mom & dad.

So with Thanksgiving just around the corner I thought it would been fun to share some pictures i found of my Dad and my grandma, Dad has been gone for awhile and grandma before him. My kids and I talk all the time about the fun we had when we would all get to gather to make great memories and I think it helped my girls want to make great traditions for our family now that they have their little families.

This was Thanksgiving 1991

I'm just not sure I'm ready for this......;o(

OK, this is what we woke up to this morning....you know as long as I can remember I have really never been one that likes being cold or playing out in the cold. Even when I was a kid my mom and dad would bundle us kids all up and take us up in the mountains to sleigh ride or tubing I think most the time I would only go one time down the hill and then I would sit in the car trying to stay warm. I always seemed to have enjoyed the hot chocolate and the donuts though.......;o)

I think if you were to ask my girls they would say yep it was our dad that would take us all tubing and to play in the snow and mom was always there with the hot chocolate and the hot bread to warm us up after. Don't get me wrong, I love the snow for Christmas and I love sitting in the hot tub when its just coming down like last night. I think winter should be over on December 31 but I know that's just a dream one of many I have......lol

So on another note, Katie and her family are going to be coming to Utah for Thanksgiving this year. All the kids are actually going to their in-laws for Thanksgiving, so Jim and I are going to the Moore's. So we are having another Thanksgiving the following Sunday with all the kids and Brandon and Lindsey are driving up Mom so she can see everyone. So yes that means I will be cleaning yippy....lol

Katie & Braydon will be staying for like 2 weeks but Shane will be flying back home to work, so Katie and I have planed to do lots of fun things to do with her sisters and my mom it's going to be a crazy busy time but I think I'm up for it.......I'll take lots of pictures so I can share.

Until next time you all try and stay dry and warm.......;o)

Halloween at the Moore's

We had a really great time last night at the Moore's. Grandma Moore made some great chili and bread sticks and it was fun seeing everyone dressed up. It's always fun to see and get to hang out and chat with all of Jeanine & Brock's family they are just so fun. They always love it when Jim tells his stories about his fun times at the PD.

This weekend we are not doing much, Jim working and I get to sit around waiting for our winter coal to be delivered. I don't know about you, but I hate waiting for things to be delivered. They never tell you a time so you pretty much sit and waste the day away waiting. We got coal last year to help keep us nice and warm for the winter it was great and it helps with the heat bill too. ( just a reminder I HATE WINTER ) I ask Jim almost every week or so if we can move south and he just keeps saying no, but maybe one day he'll buy me a place to visit in the winter when he makes his millions ...hehehe! I'll be holding him to it.......;o) There are some good things about winter, like the holidays and doing lots of fun things with the kids. I really enjoy that part of winter. (but that's about it! lol)
